Creating your account

There are two account types on QuoteHive, chosen at signup: Client (you post work) and Contractor (you bid on work).

Client accounts

A client picks one of three types, and the choice matters:

• Private individual — fully private. Your name and contact details are never shown publicly and are only shared with the contractor you actually hire.
• Business / Commercial — gets a public organization profile and can earn a Verified Organization badge.
• Government & Institutional — same public profile and badge eligibility, with jobs listed on the tenders board.

Business and institutional accounts are guided through a short organization setup wizard (name, logo, description, public contact). You can save it partway — nothing in it blocks posting a job.

Contractor accounts

Contractors provide their company, trade, city and province — that’s how new matching jobs are routed to you. On signup you receive 12 free starter credits, and you can browse the board right away. Before you can bid you must confirm your email and complete document verification.

For every account

• A street address, postal code and phone number are required at signup.
• You must confirm your email address — posting, bidding and hiring stay locked until you click the link we send.
• Two-factor authentication (an authenticator app or a passkey) is required before you can post or bid. See Securing your account.
