How Trending works

Trending surfaces the hottest active listings on the Marketplace right now — a quick way to see what other people are looking at, watching and bidding on. Reach it from the Trending pill in the Marketplace hero.

How listings are ranked

Every active listing gets a “hotness” score built from real activity — how many times it’s been viewed, how many people are watching it (weighted more heavily), and how many bids its auction has drawn (weighted more heavily still). When two listings tie, the fresher one ranks higher. The top listings carry a flame #rank badge (1–10).

Narrowing it down

Quick filters at the top let you narrow Trending to a single mode (Buy now, Auction, Get it quoted, Wanted) or a single category, so you can see, say, only the hottest tool auctions. The board works on your phone too.

Trending only ever shows active listings — sold and closed items drop off automatically. A listing’s own view count also appears on its detail page (your own visits to your own listing don’t count).
