Ad IDs: finding and referencing a listing

Every Marketplace listing has a short Ad ID — a number unique to that listing. You’ll see it in two places on the listing page: in the breadcrumb trail at the top (Marketplace › Category › Ad ID) and on the “Ad ID N · X views” line just under the title.

What it’s for

• Referencing a listing. Quote the Ad ID when you contact support or report a problem — it’s the fastest way for us to pull up the exact item.
• Finding it again. The Ad ID is stable for the life of the listing, so it’s a reliable handle for a specific ad.
• Views. The number next to the Ad ID is how many times the listing has been viewed — helpful when you’re selling and gauging interest.

The Ad ID is just the listing’s own identifier, so it never changes and always points to the same item.
