Formal tenders ($100K+ projects)

Last updated July 1, 2026

Jobs with a budget of $100,000 or more automatically run as formal tenders — the same engine, but on a schedule that mirrors Canadian public-procurement practice.

How the schedule differs

  • Window: the client picks a 10, 15 or 20 day total window (instead of 7–30 days).
  • Bid of Intent deadline: BOIs must be in 2 days before the final close.
  • Final-bid-only window: the last 2 days are reserved for final bids from contractors who declared intent.
  • Award window: a 48-hour award period follows the close.

Bidding is open to every verified contractor — formal tenders don’t cap participation; they only add structure to the timeline. Bids cost 10 credits ($100K–$500K) or 12 credits ($500K+).

Requirements are common here

Institutional clients typically attach NDAs, mandatory site walkthroughs and custom conditions. You can bid before satisfying them, but you cannot be awarded until the client has checked every requirement off for you — see Setting requirements.
