What a bid costs

Last updated July 1, 2026

New contractors start with 12 free starter credits. Clients never pay anything — posting and hiring are always free. A contractor spends credits at two points: unlocking a job’s documents (1 credit) and placing a final bid (1–12 credits by budget band). A Bid of Intent is free.

The credit ladder

  • Under $1,000 — 1 credit
  • $1,000 – $5,000 — 2 credits
  • $5,000 – $15,000 — 3 credits
  • $15,000 – $50,000 — 5 credits
  • $50,000 – $100,000 — 8 credits
  • $100,000 – $500,000 — 10 credits
  • $500,000+ — 12 credits
  • “Not sure yet” — 2 credits

The exact cost is shown on every job page before you confirm. Winning, being hired, and being reviewed cost nothing.

Why pay-per-bid?

Because every bidder is verified and pays to compete, clients get serious quotes instead of a flood of unqualified leads — and a contractor with a slow month pays nothing. There is no mandatory subscription and no commission on the work.
